Tomorrow, December 2nd, will mark Nashville’s 59th Annual Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting: Christmas Around the World.
The Music City tradition will start at the Public Square Plaza downtown at 7pm. Country singer Vince Gill, Mayor Dean, and Piedmont Natural Gas executives will do the honors of lighting the tree. Vince Gill, twenty time Grammy award winner with an additional eighteen CMA awards under his belt has been announced as this year’s Grand Marshal.
Vince Gill will lead the parade following the tree lighting from 2nd Street to Broadway. Nearly two dozen floats, large balloons a la Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and sixteen marching bands from all over the south will march through the streets. This year’s parade will benefit the Share the Warmth Round Up program.
