Students injured in bus accident

Nine students on board a school bus for a band competition were injured after the driver of an SUV crossed the center lane and crashed into the bus, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Forty-seven students of the Oakland High School Marching Band were on board when the crash occurred. Those who were injured were taken to University Medical Center in Lebanon and the bus driver was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Their injuries are listed as non-life threatening. The driver of the SUV did not survive the accident.
