Two people injured Monday morning in a tractor trailer explosion were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with potentially serious injuries. The explosion occurred at Murfreesboro Pike near Hurricane Creek Boulevard.
A worker inside the truck and a worker outside the truck were injured when a fire started as they tried to remove the vehicle’s motor. Investigators believe propane from the broken motor may have been sparked, causing the explosion.
Nashville police say no hazardous materials were involved in the accident. The two men’s conditions have not been released at this time. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the explosion, WKRN reports.
