Ben & Jerry’s chocolate nougat crunch flavor ice cream has been recalled after an allergen advisory was not placed on its pint-sized container. All other sizes are not effected by the recall.
The advisory that was suppose to be on the label warned consumers that the ice cream was made with equipment that also handles peanuts and tree nuts. People with severe nut allergies could be at risk for serious or life-threatening reactions. No illnesses have been reported.
Consumers who have purchased the product are encouraged to throw it out, but keep the container in order to cut out the UPC code on the label. They can call Ben & Jerry’s customer service to learn how to get a replacement coupon.
