A 22 year-old Franklin man was released from jail on Friday after he posted $300,000 bond. He is accused of killing a man and pregnant woman in Knoxville and then driving away late last month.
According to Knox County police, the suspect was driving on Washington Pike when he struck a 24 year-old woman who was seven months pregnant and a 42 year-old man as they were helping someone whose car had broken down. His damaged car was found at a friend’s house later that night.
The man has been charged with driving while intoxicated, second offense DUI, three counts of vehicular homicide, three counts of vehicular homicide by intoxication, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless endangerment, and tampering with evidence.
