On Monday, February 3 the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) announced plans to further develop technology that will improve the safety of drivers.
The new proposed technology is called vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) technology. It will allow for direct communication between cars which could decrease car accidents by 80 percent and improve traffic flow.
NHTSA said several car makers are already designing their cars to include the technology. The NHTSA will likely push a regulatory proposal to require new cars have V2V technology in the near future.
Through driving safety measures are being improved, many people are still involved in car accidents every day.
