One person died and another one was seriously injured when the vehicle they were riding in rolled over in Rutherford County, WKRN-TV Nashville reported on June 15.
Reports said the fatal rollover happened at around 3:00 a.m. on Interstate 24 near Almaville Road. A Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) reportedly rolled over several times after its driver lost control and attempted to over-correct. SUV passenger Kathleen Davenport was killed at the scene after she was thrown from the vehicle. Driver Blake Rutledge was taken to a hospital in Vanderbilt due to serious injuries he sustained from the crash. Investigators believe drugs or alcohol was involved.
