Complaints of a drunk driver lead to actor John Stamos’ arrest

Celebrity John Stamos was taken into custody after Beverly Hills police suspected him of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a June 12 article of the Los Angeles Times stated.

Reports revealed that authorities responded at around 7:45 p.m. after being notified several times of a driver suspected of drunk driving near Canon Drive. The 51-year-old Stamos was later pulled over at the crossway of South Santa Monica Boulevard and Beverly Drive. Stamos, who was initially transported to a hospital, was later issued a DUI citation, according to Sergeant David Armour. A court hearing is scheduled for Stamos on September 11.

Fatal Tennessee head-on collision caused by drunk driver

One person was recently killed and two others suffered injuries in a head-on collision in Tennessee caused by a drunken driver, News 2 reported on January 14.

The fatality was identified as Michael Campbell, a music artist from Kentucky. Campbell was driving northbound on Interstate 65 from a concert when his vehicle was struck head-on by a vehicle driven by Delois Beasley, who was driving on the wrong lane. Beasley later admitted to authorities that she was heavily under the influence of alcohol; she also appeared confused and disoriented, believing that she was the one struck by a wrong-way driver. Beasley and a Campbell’s passenger, identified as Terry Anderson, were both injured in the collision.

Man arrested in Goodlettsville DUI hit-and-run crash

An intoxicated driver was recently arrested by Goodlettsville Police after crashing into another vehicle, News Channel 5 reported on Thursday, July 10.

Reports said the two-vehicle crash happened on July 8th when a vehicle driven by Michael Dixon, 52, struck another vehicle. Dixon, who fled the accident scene, reportedly came back and attempted to attack a woman who was in the vehicle. Responding police arrested Dixon after observing that he showed signs of heavy intoxication. Though no one was hurt in the accident, the vehicle of the woman who was not named sustained damages. After the arrest, authorities learned that Dixon had six prior DUI arrests.
