Dozens of kids hospitalized for sledding injuries

Over three dozen children in Middle Tennessee were admitted to a hospital emergency room after sustaining injuries caused by sledding, ABC News 2 reported on February 17.

Over the course of one day, 46 children were taken to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Children that were taken to the emergency room sustained a variety of injuries, including in some cases head trauma and broken bones. Doctors advised that people who want to go sledding, especially children, should wear protective head gear and avoid sledding in the road.

Sustaining broken bones and head trauma caused by sledding often translate to hefty medical expenses. It is possible that you or your child’s sledding accident occurred because of an inherently unsafe property. In this situation, a Tennessee premises liability attorney could help you pursue financial compensation from the property owner responsible.
